Swanepoel in second final at World University Games
Corney Swanepoel (pictured) has qualified for his second final on the penultimate day of competition in the pool at the World University Games in Bangkok.
Swanepoel (North Shore) was sixth fastest in heats of the 50m butterfly in 24.39 and could threaten a medal if he can go close to his New Zealand record of 23.67 in tonight’s final at the Thammasat University Aquatic Centre.
His Millennium Institute High Performance team-mate Moss Burmester will swim in the B final after finishing 14th fastest in the morning heats.
