SNZ wish to advise all that a new version of the 2012 Olympic Pool Selection Criteria that has been published today on the SNZ and NZOC websites. The changes to the criteria are to clarify the requirement for all swimmers to compete at the New Zealand Long Course Championships in March 2011.  This was implied in the previous criteria but not specifically stated and for the avoidance of doubt we’ve now clarified this aspect and the NZOC has approved a change to our 2012 Olympic Pool Selection Criteria. 

A new clause 7, in the eligibility section has been added:  “All swimmers must compete at the New Zealand Long Course Swimming Championships, 25th March to 30th March 2012. In the case of swimmers who have swum qualifying times at a prior qualifying event, they must swim those events at the New Zealand Long Course Championships.”
