Professional Development Clinics

Professional Development Clinics

We tailor the Professional Development clinics to the needs of the Teachers at the School. Clinics may consist of Theory and Practical sessions.
 
 
Examples of Topics that could be covered are:
  • Strategies for School Swimming
  • Class Management
  • Progressions of Swimming
  • Common Questions
  • Other areas may be highlighted as needs of the school which can be incorporated
  • A pool session component can also be included if needed
  • Practical session working with teachers while they are teaching students in pool
 
Costs involved for Professional Development Workshops are as follows:
  • Professional Development Workshops normally run for 2 to 3 hours
  • Participants receive handouts and attend the workshop
  • Numbers of participants are limited to 15 per workshop. If more are interested, this can be discussed with Regional Education Manager at Swimming New Zealand
  • The School or Regional Sports Trust are responsible for providing the facility for the Venue and will need to cover the costs for Venue
  • The School or Regional Sports Trust are responsible for providing pool facility or hire lanes at pool close to venue and need to cover the costs for this (If required)
