New Zealand Certificate in Swim Teaching (NZCST)

The New Zealand Certificate in Swim Teaching (NZCST) is recommended by Swimming New Zealand as the qualification for all professional teachers of swimming in New Zealand. The NZCST course by itself will not improve your swim teaching ability.  This you must do for yourself through additional study, reading, practice and experience. The course will have served its purpose if it contributes to your improvement as a swimming teacher. Modules in the New Zealand Certificate in Swim Teaching cover infants & toddlers, young children, school age, adults and teaching swimmers with a disability.

Aims
  1. To give those involved in teaching swimming and identifiable national qualification
  2. To provide a formal programme of instruction for teachers of swimming
