Technical Information

Swimming competitions rely on Technical Officials to provide the support and technical information to allow a competition to be held. Technical Officials Roles at National level include Inspector of Turns, Starter and Referee.  These roles are important at local, regional and national competitions as well as international competitions.

Technical Advisory Committee Vacancies

In line with the Swimming New Zealand Terms of Reference for the Technical Advisory Committee, applications are being called for the vacant TAC positions.

The positions are for a 3 year term and the vacant positions are:
• Central North Island
• Lower South Island

The term will commence on 1st September 2010.

Applications close 5pm Monday 2nd August 2010 and should be emailed to Kent Stead at kent@swimmingnz.org.nz

Memo - SNZ Officials Forum

SNZ held an Officials Forum for two delegates from each region on Saturday 12th September in Wellington. The purpose of the Forum was to provide advice on officiating in New Zealand and to develop consistency across the SNZ regions.
