Technical Information
Swimming competitions rely on Technical Officials to provide the support and technical information to allow a competition to be held. Technical Officials Roles at National level include Inspector of Turns, Starter and Referee. These roles are important at local, regional and national competitions as well as international competitions. More on each role detailed here.

2008 FINA World Cup Technical Official Application
Applications to officiate at the 2008 FINA World Cup in Sydney are now being called for.
Applications are to be sent to the SNZ office and are due by Sunday 20th July 2008.

Appointments for Technical Officials for the 2008 Spring Competition and 2008 NZ Summer Championships have now been made.
FINA Open Water Swimming Officials List 8
Applications for FINA Open Water Swimming Officials List 8 are now being called for. FINA List 8 will be valid from the 1st January 2009 – 31st December 2012.
Applications are to be sent to the SNZ office and are due by Friday 27th June 2008.

Officials Strategy
The SNZ Officials Strategy is the new strategy for officiating swimming. It is aligned with the SNZ Strategic Plan.
