Part of the HP and Development programme to London 2012 involves an NZ-wide challenge to wipe clean the existing record book! Starting on the first day of the 2006 Absolute Insurance World Championships Trials the challenge is to break all national and regional records before the start of the London 2012 Olympics.

This means ALL records; male, female, long-course, short-course, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle, individual medley, relays, 12 & under, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, Open, 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1,500m.

Across NZ and 16 Regions that’s a grand total of 11,152 broken records and as at 12 December 2006 we have 2054 days in which to do it!!
