It’s not everyday that all marine traffic in New Zealand’s largest city is called to a halt to allow you the privilege of saying, “I swam across the harbour”. This race was first held in 2004 and now attracts more than 1400 competitors. The course starts in Quinton Park, Bayswater and finishes on the northern side of Te Wero Island, Viaduct Harbour.
