North Shore teenager Alannah Jury earned selection to the world championships after an outstanding third place in the 10km Australian Open Water Swim Championships at Penrith near Sydney.
Jury, 17, in her first full season in open water swimming, finished runner-up in both the 5km and 10km titles at the national championships.

I am teaching in schools at the moment and you all should know there are so many young New Zealanders who see you all as their heros, they're following your progress via the net and news clips, I know you'll all give it your best... your new... and not so new fans in NZ are right behind you!!!
